What should I do after a collision?
First, ensure everyone's safe and call 911 if needed. Then pull your vehicle to a safe spot, exchange information (license plate, driver’s licence, names, contact, insurance details), and if possible photograph the scene and vehicle damage. If police attend, ask for the file number. Then you can contact us at Grandcity Autobody and we’ll guide you through the next repair steps.
How do I get a repair estimate?
You can come straight to one of Grandcity Autobody’s unit for a professional estimate. Our estimator will inspect the damage, take photos, and prepare a detailed estimate for you, ICBC or your private insurer.
Can Grandcity Autobody assist with my (ICBC) claim?
Yes. We are an ICBC-accredited repair facility. That means we can help you file ICBC estimate, send it directly to ICBC, and begin repair as soon as approval is received.
What is a “comprehensive re-assessment” of my ICBC estimate?
When the repair starts, we perform a detailed re-assessment of the damage and the estimate. If we find additional damage or omitted items, we will contact ICBC to adjust the estimate so your vehicle is restored properly to pre accident condition.

Do you use OEM parts?
Yes, for many repairs we use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or insurance company certified collision parts.
How do you match paint colour?
For paint, we use exact paint colour match technology with a computerized mixing system and a vast colour-formulation database to ensure your vehicle looks exactly as it did pre-accident.
How long will the repair process take?
Repair time varies depending on the extent of the damage, parts availability, and insurance approval. During the inspection we’ll give you an estimated timeline.
How does Grandcity Autobody straighten the frame or unibody of a damaged vehicle?
We use state-of-the-art unibody frame-straightening equipment to ensure precise alignment of your vehicle’s structure. This advanced measuring and straightening system restores the vehicle to manufacturer specifications.
Courtesy Services
Does Grandcity Autobody provide a courtesy or rental car while my vehicle is being repaired?
Yes. We offer modern, clean late-model courtesy cars to keep you mobile while we work on your vehicle. If a courtesy car isn’t available we’ll help arrange a rental vehicle with some conditions applies.
Are courtesy cars ready immediately, and what are the requirements?
Courtesy cars are subject to availability and depend on claim approval (for example via ICBC). You’ll need to be 19 years or older, hold a valid driver’s licence, and typically provide a credit card for the courtesy car security deposit (or meet similar requirements).
Warranty, Aftercare & Quality Assurance
What warranty does Grandcity Autobody offer on repairs?
We provide a lifetime warranty on collision repairs for as long as you own the vehicle. That covers labour and materials on the work we performed.
How do I know the repair was done correctly?
Our facility uses advanced measuring equipment, certified technicians, and is an ICBC-accredited “c.a.r. shop VALET” facility, meaning we meet or exceed industry standards for safe, proper repairs and customer service.
Can I bring the vehicle back if I notice an issue later?
Absolutely. With our lifetime warranty, if you notice anything related to our repair work, or claim related damage just contact us and we’ll address your concern.
